Through collaborative partnerships, we support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities. LDF’s grantmaking program encompasses six focus areas:
THE LEONARDO DICAPRIO FOUNDATION
“Clean air, water, and a livable climate are inalienable human rights. And solving this crisis is not a question of politics, it is a question of our own survival.
Leonardo DiCaprio, U.N. Messenger of Peace for the Climate, United Nations, 2014
If we re destroying our trees and destroying our environment and hurting animals and hurting one another there s got to be a very powerful energy to fight that. I think we need more love in the world. We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter.
“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together… all things connect.”
In a few decades, the relationship between the environment, resources and conflict may seem almost as obvious as the connection we see today between human rights, democracy and peace.
Welcome to the Roger Federer Foundation
«I believe in the power of people. They might only need some initial empowerment. We know that a good education empowers children by allowing them to take their future into their own hands and play an active part in shaping it. And we trust in the best will of parents that they want to ensure the best possible opportunities for their children. For more than 12 years my Foundation has therefore been committed to enable parents and local communities in providing these children with the opportunity for a good education. We aim to reach a million children by 2018.»

Teaching and education is the most important thing in the world. In a sense it all starts with kids in the classroom and learning, and everything that they’re learning, whether they know it or not, is going to affect the rest of their life…. if they’re taught that the things that they do in their community and with their friends and peers can make a difference, then they’re gonna start living their life with a global perspective.

Think Global was one of the first charities I engaged with when I entered Parliament. With a Crossbench group of peers I took part in the Live below the Line challenge to highlight that many live on less than £1 a day. This highlights the practical approach that Think Global brings to their work, and which as a teacher I know makes issues come alive for pupils learning about global issues.
Baroness Judith Jolly. Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Defence
It only makes sense to nurture our pupils as global citizens in the multi-cultural metropolis that is London, particularly as they are growing up in an increasingly globalised world. These are the generations that are in need of the knowledge and skills to navigate their way towards a more just and sustainable way of living for all.
